InnoValley HQ to cooperate with University of Macao on biotech

On the occasion of the 2nd anniversary of InnoValley HQ, the biotech giant Emstan opened its research center in InnoValley. The center is one of the fruits of cooperation between the University of Macao (UM) and Emstan and its launch is aimed at becoming a dominant player in the research and application of stem cells.

Apart from the stem cells project, enterprises of Hengqin and UM also signed cooperation deals on technology transfer, AI, blockchain, big data, minimally invasive treatment equipment and biomaterial. Platforms for companies of above fields will be available in the InnoValley.

Progress have been made since the InnoValley was launched two years ago. Currently, there are 203 start-ups of which 122 are from Hong Kong and Macao. Sixteen companies have gained a total venture investment of 100 million yuan ($14 million).
